The Menus on a Browser
The back icon is used to go back to the previously accessed page.
The Forward icon is used to go the page before going back to the previously accessed page, and to go to the next page.
The Stop icon is used to stop the browser accessing the webpage display.
The Refresh icon is used to repeat the displaying process of a webpage.
The Search icon is used to open the data and information search facility on the internet.
The Favorites icon is used to show a list of saved web address show it can be accessed back easier.
The History icon is used to show a list of web address that has been visited today or the day before.
The Mail icon is used to activate the Outlook Express facility from Internet Explorer.
The Print icon is used to print an opened webpage.
The Edit icon with Microsoft Program (Ms. FrontPage, Ms. Excel, Ms. Word, and Ms. WordPad) icon is used to create or edit data with Microsoft Program.
The Discuss is used to show Discussion Bar on Internet Explorer (Windows XP).

Hardware To Acces The Internet
The hardwares used to acces the internet depend on the type of internet acces that we choose.In this case,it is a dial up connection.To acces internet,we will need hardware and software.The minimum spacification as used to acces the internet are the following.
- PENTIUM PROCESSOR (PENTIUM II & LATER)
A processor is what brain is to human.It processes all the information entered by uses and gives out resulte as wanted by the users.Thats why a computer must have a processor to operate.
- RAM 64 MB & 2 GB HARD DISK
- VGA CARD & VGA MONITOR
- VGA Card / Graphic Card is a Hardware that transforms data from computer and transfer it to a computer monitor.Monitor’s function is to show data,file and also various computer programs in a visual form show that it can be seen.The minimum video card to acces the internet is 4 MB.
- SOUND CARD
Sound Card is needed because the internet is a multimedia world.The information in it isn’t only text and picture but also video and music.To enjoy music and video,we will need a Sound Card.
- MODEM
Modem stands from Modulator-Demodulator.It’s a tool that we use to deliver and recive data between pc via the telephone line.The receiving modem will than convert that analog signal back into digital signal to be later processed by the computer.There are two types of modem,Internal and External.The Internal modem is istaled inside the CPU while the External is installed outside the CPU.So,modem is an additional Hardware for computer (either Internal/ External)
- TELEPHONE
Modem needs a phone line to do it’s work.Basically, the procces when modem is connected to telephone and when starting the connect to ISP is the same as making a phone call.if someone calls you,when you are using a modem,then they will get a busy signal and can’t connect you.The modem speed will also affect the telephone bill paid per month.The fast modem will save more money than the slow modem.

m. Beri tanda centang pada kotak di depan Add a shortcut to the connection to my desktop, maka shortcut telkomnet akan ditampilkan di Desktop
n. Untuk memulai koneksi ke internet, kita dapat meng-klik shortcut dua kali yang ada dalam desktop
o. Selanjtnya akan muncul jendela Connect TelkomNet
p. Klik tombol dial sehingga jendela proses koneksi ke internet dimulai dan jika koneksi ke internet berhasil maka proses verifikasi UserName dan Password akan dilakukan. Tunggu sampai proses selesai
q. Jika proses verifikasi selesai maka icon Telkomnet akan ditampilkan pada taskbar
r. Klik icon telkomnet tersebut maka akan muncul kecepatan computer kita dalam mengakses internet
